  My BPD Sister Passed Away

  i have started this, then restarted it, and it still sucks to even write this out - but my younger sister passed away unexpectedly last saturday (on my birthday).

  i am going through all the grieving emotions, but there is more to the story that i could never and would never talk about to anyone that didn't understand the jw rhetoric.

  so...here i am.. my sister has had borderline personality disorder (bpd) for as long as i can remember.

  Baby girl 30,my condolences to you.I hope you recognize that the actions of your sister were far beyond her control,Even though it did not appear that way.Humans with BPD are somewhat like a ship without a rudder.The waves of the disorder toss them throughout life,damaging them,and those around them.The heartbreaking part is,that they can't conceptualize the gravity of the self destructive forces within them.At heart,a beautiful person may dwell within.But BPD is an override switch that can not be silenced.Once upon a time,I was married to a woman with the disorder.The poor impulse control,violence and infidelity disintegrated the marriage.The flawed JW DFing system only served as a revolving door for her.It did no good,as shunning discipline only aggravates their anger.It took many years to recover from the trauma of loving someone with BPD.I hope your experience with your sister does not make you angry with God.Although our present lives contain many pains,there is great beauty as well.Beauty in the world around us,and within us.As you go forward,know that we are a small part of this universe,and we don't fully understand what lies ahead for us as conscious beings.But if we show grace to one another,good will prevail,and I think our existence is going to be enlightened.This wonderful planet,and never ending space,couldn't have just been thrown together to end,like this.Love and Mercy to you,and yours.O

  in the late 80's when i was in my late teens i used to with my then wife to be attend a monday night pre-watchtower study at a local elders house.. this guy was revered as very knowledgable and he was scholarly and interesting to listen to; so at the time it was a genuinely enjoyable monday evening spent with oftentimes discussion would veer far of the subject at hand and lasting to well after 11pm some evenings.. this particular night, the subject up for discussion was "the faithful and discreet slave" and how we should be obeying them without question.

  right in the middle of the study this elder said as a question not in the wt article; "how do we really know the current fds as lead by the governing body are the real deal.

  i mean what actual proof do we have?".

  Tiki-True.And think how disconcerting it must be,to think back on all those folks outside the conventions in the past..the ones you with the big '1975' signs,the ones you were told to ignore because they were 'crazy',and now realize that they were right...Ignorance is bliss

  yup that's right the jws religion is a pretentious fraud orchestrated by men running their own religious publishing house.. these men cultivated a semblance of power around themselves through their own propagation of being chosen by god or being more righteous than other christian leaders by their self supporting acclaim that they have truer and more accurate bible interpretations.

  another known fact is these top leading men were not academically trained bible scholars.

  the first leading executive writer of the wts was a professional clothing salesman/ businessman.
